Microgrids - here’s how they work. A microgrid is generally configured to be remote or connected from the main grid. The primary difference between the two configurations is one being connected to the grid. Primary benefits of microgrids include grid resilience and reliability. When the central grid is online, the microgrid generally receives its power from this central grid. However, when the central grid goes offline, the microgrid steps in to provide electricity to consumers. #microgrid
